Step-by-step guide

How to run inventory counts after Shopify Stocky shuts down

Use this practical workflow to keep barcode inventory counts moving after Stocky becomes unavailable.

1. Prepare products and locations

Confirm that each variant has a unique barcode or SKU and inventory tracking is enabled at the correct Shopify location.

2. Start an inventory count

Open Orda Inventory, choose the location and scan or search for products. Each unique scan adds one unit.

3. Review expected versus counted

Check Shopify's expected quantity, your counted quantity and every variance before anything changes.

4. Approve and keep a report

Approve only after review. Shopify inventory is updated at the selected location and the local report can be downloaded as CSV.

What Orda replaces

Orda covers Stocky's barcode stocktake workflow, not purchasing, forecasting, suppliers or all Stocky reports.

Approval keeps counts safe

Shopify inventory is not updated until you review and approve the count.

Inventory Counting runs in Shopify Admin and does not require the Quick Order storefront block.
